According the the reports I read, a Land Cruiser caused a fuel tanker to tip over and explode. If you are interested in watching some footage you can see it here.
While I was waiting to pick up the boys from school the administrator made an announcement over the PA about a traffic problem but it was only later in the day that I heard there was a fire. I've just checked the Doha forums and found out exactly what happened.
